Ransomware attacks and locks a computer system to prevent data access until money is paid. Ransomware attacks are considered HIPAA Breaches. Has anyone encounter this in their facility? It recently happen at my friend's work and since its considered a hipaa breach, not only do they pay the ransomeware but they also pay the hipaa fine.
